Bio
Hi! As you already know, my name is Mr. Fabia. I am a pre-service teacher (aka teacher-to-be) currently in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta. I'm in my fourth year in elementary education striving to graduate as early as possible. I love (for the most part) my classes, my friends/classmates and my University!
Currently, I volunteer at multiple schools and teaching environments within the city working with various students of ages. I love the volunteering I do because all the teachers and mentors whom I work with are honestly, the best. Really, they actually are such role models and leaders that I am immensely learning from and continually doing so every time I go. At the end of the day, to me, volunteering helps give back to the schools and to the community.
Why Teaching?
To sum up why I want to be a teacher is quite simple, yet I'm pretty sure I'll complicate it all. Essentially, I want to inspire and encourage students to do their best not just academically but, generally. Meaning I want my students to achieve success and be aware of their strengths and most importantly, I want to motivate students ensuring that education is, and always will be important in their lives. I really also could go into more detail about this, but since it's a bio I'll stop talking.. for now. I'm a huge Buzzfeed reader that this one summarizes my thoughts to be a teacher, but always there are more reasons than what's on the list.
